On Kauai’s sunny south shore. Floor to ceiling windows on the lanai, for the full width of the condo facing spectacular ocean views and sounds, on the side of Kuhio Shores where the giant sea turtles hang-out, with the lanai facing the trade-winds for constant comfort. Steeped in ultra warm hawaiian decor with Koa wood and etched glass and Hawaiian art, and walking directly out to the ocean from the lanai make 106 is the “best of the best” Kuhio Shores offers.
Oyster says: “the only hotel this close to the water on all of Kauai”… It’s not a hotel, but I believe the rest is correct.
Our condo is distinctive with its beautiful native artwork, shell collections, handcrafted woodwork, handcrafted etched glass and mirrors, Hawaiian style decor with a Hawaiian CD mix that provides you with a relaxing environment inducing the aloha spirit. Our condo takes you back to the time when the tropics were truly a remote adventure.
You will probably not find any residence on Kaua’i with this much Koa woodwork. Contractors have expressed amazement at the the woodworking. Add the island scenes in the etched glass and other artwork for a unique one-of-a-kind island experience.
Open the windows and listen to the ocean waves lull you to sleep.
Why settle for less than direct access to the beach? From the upper floors, beach access is through the elevators then through the parking lot… while we have direct ocean access from one of the largest lanai’s at Kuhio Shores…. where you can spread-out onto the immaculately kept lawn extending towards the ocean and enjoy unconfined ocean access. Where else are you going to find the ocean at such a great price with all the comforts of home?
Located steps from the beach, Kuhio Shores provides snorkeling, scuba, surfing, swimming, biking, sunning, and beachcombing without having to get in your car or even cross the street. You are five minutes away from famous Po’ipu Beach and old Koloa town; with excellent shopping and restaurants. Spouting Horn and the National Tropical Botanical Gardens are less than 5 minutes down the road. Kukui’ula Village (restaurants and shopping) is a five minute walk.
(Note that I’m getting booking requests for winter >24 months in advance, so have blocked those dates currently, and give priority to repeat guests. Come August/September (16 months ahead), I’ll solidify that schedule, and open what remains for all.)
Kuhio Shores 106 is a great location! This one bedroom (plus a couch-bed), one bath, unit will be your home away from home.
Ho’ai bay, right off the lanai, is known as some of the best snorkeling on Kauai. Snorkel with the turtles and the colorful tropical fish, just steps away from the lanai (watch the video above, snorkeling with the turtles off the condo).
From the lanai you can enjoy the view across to the Ha’upu mountain range, or the sunrise on the bay, or looking out onto the ocean, watching the waves, sailing ships, dolphins jumping, or whales breaching in the distance, and the near constant stream of turtles that come within 20′ of your feet to the edge of the bay to feed… all relaxing from your lounge on the lanai, sipping your morning coffee.
The lanai faces East, so the lanai is shaded from the afternoon sun, and the ocean trade winds from the East keep the condo nice and cool year round.
