Romantic and peaceful, you can relax in our Kuhio Shores oceanfront condominium on one of the most beautiful and tranquil sea shores in the world - the Poipu Beach area on the sunny south side of Kauai. Pets and smoking are NOT allowed. Enjoy our newly remodeled and air conditioned, one bedroom, dwelling where the morning sun flows through the windows as you look out onto the ocean's breaking waves. From your private lanai, ocean and mountain views flood your sight, sea turtles appear among the rocks, local fishermen cast their nets, and whales can be seen during the season.
I loved everything about this condo. The location was great, the view was extraordinary, the unit was fully outfitted with everything/anything one might need, the furnishings were charming Hawaiiana, and the hostess was incredibly thoughtful. Can't wait to stay here again!

Great location -- right on the water and walking each morning for exercise was super. Very nicely equipped with everything --- for the beach, for the kitchen, toweling, electronics, etc. The directions for the TV were limited but plenty of channel selections & On-Demand was great for movies. Parking was on-site and the area included plenty of eating & shopping options. Watching/seeing whales, turtles, and fish was a bonus. A pool and workout room would have made this a 5-star unit. Communications with the owner & staff was excellent.

Staying in Kapaa after leaving this condo made me appreciate the quiet and beauty of this location all the more. What did I like about staying here? View of the water from the balcony, viewing sunsets from the condo property, closeness to beaches, falling asleep and waking up to the sound of the waves, comfortable bed, option to leave the screened doors open for airflow or turn on the AC, option to take the stairs or elevator, having benches in the hallway and bedroom to put your stuff on, hearing the parakeets coming to roost in the palm trees in the evening, a well equipped kitchen, etc.

The property has a very good location 3 minutes from shops and short driving distance to several good restaurants. You are on the water. The condo is extremely well furnished, clean and comfortable. The property is very well maintained. We enjoyed our stay very much.

This was our first time staying at this property. We absolutely loved it. The condo had many items for us to use , ( beach chairs, ice chest, snorkel equipment and a well stocked kitchen). We loved spending time on the covered lanai watching the waves crash against the rocks. Lawaii bay was a great place to snorkel, which is next door to the property by the Beach House restaurant, easily to walk to. The place was very clean and did not disappoint. I appreciate the air conditioning too. I hope we return someday.

We absolutely loved our stay on Kauai and Kuhio Shores is perfectly located. It has the best snorkeling on the south side of the island where you can walk to the beach to get in. Nothing on Kauai is very far away. We had friends staying in a resort on the eastern shore and it never took very long for us to go either direction. We would definitely rent this unit again. I was surprised it had no washer and dryer. I had to go back and look at the listing and saw that I just didn't read it very carefully. I think I was too caught up in the location and that it was right on the water. The sound of water against the rocks was awesome!

Beautiful view of Turtle Cove and sunny morning with coffee in hand.. Well appointed 2nd floor condo with a very comfortable bed, rockers on the porch and comfy couch and chairs. Modern kitchen with large refer and ice maker, plenty of storage containers and salt/pepper (only). Cons: needs a deep clean and more hand soap and shampoo provided. Have the housekeeping leave spices that others leave behind. Not a deal breaker and would stay there again in a heartbeat. Just good to know before you arrive.

Don't get me wrong, it's a very nice condo, and if you're thinking of staying there, go for it. It's mainly in excellent shape, but a couple areas are showing their age and use, like the wooden cabinets and a wonky slider screen. We were also a little disappointed that some of the basic supplies were skimped on- there wasn't any dishwashing detergent, only one partial roll of paper towels, and barely enough soap to last the week (we ended up taking the hand soap into the shower the final two days). Condos we've stayed at elsewhere in the islands were quite well stocked in this respect.

My wife and I live at the beach, so finding a condo like this on the water with snorkeling and surfing right there made it for both of us. Also having the Beach House restaurant next door was a plus, we headed over there 3 times for dinner, just walk. Also heard about the parrots flying over ever night from the Allerton Gardens, but seeing that never got tiring. The condo has what you need for the beach, chairs, snorkeling stuff, beach towels and umbrellas. I like the location because at end of the day, that side of hotel is cool and it gets a great cross breeze through it. Also great stores and Poipu Beach Park was super close, it has good snorkeling and great waves in front of the Marriott. Dave & Deb

During our stay at Kuhio Shores at Poipu, the beautiful view of the cove from our condo's lanai became our gathering place each morning and resting place each night. The kitchen was stocked with all the utensils we needed. Meals were easy to prepare and everything was clean and organized. We enjoyed our stay with you in Kauai.

The condo is clean and well supplied with many amenities which was much appreciated. The island of Kauai is paradise on earth. Sooo beautiful. We truly enjoyed our days exploring the gorgeous views and gardens. Our one problem with the condo, which for us was major, was the lack of air conditioning in the unit. During our visit, the temperatures were 85-95 degrees with 90% humidity. It was extremely hot in the condo day and night making sleep a challenge. We appreciated the 3 box fans provided, but still spent as little time as possible in our home away from home. It was my mistake to assume that a rental in the tropics would have air conditioning. :/

My husband and I enjoyed this condo for six nights of our honeymoon. The condo was well stocked with kitchen supplies and beach gear. We could not have asked for a better place to spend this time. The lanai was amazing, and the turtle watching was unbeatable. We snorkeled with turtles in the small bay in front of the condo and then again in front of the Beach House restaurant around the building. It was amazing and we would not hesitate to recommend this condo to anyone we know! Thank you, Jackie for being so welcoming and making our travels worry-free and wonderful!!

The condo is, simply put, perfect. It's private and secure; has parking; is fully-furnished with modern conveniences of cable and WiFi, not to mention beach gear such as boogie boards, water shoes and snorkel equipment; and, it is on the water. We could see the sea turtles from the coach and practically taste the salt water. This really is a pacific paradise, and the proximity of the local shops - restaurants, bars, markets and boutiques - makes an extended stay very, very enjoyable.

The property was in a perfect location, close to everything and on the water. The bed was comfy and the sheets were soft....nothing worse than scratchy sheets on vacation....so this was a big plus for us. Additionally the condo had so many wonderful items available for use, almost anything you could need they have. Water shoes, comfy beach chairs, cooler, picnic supplies, a french press (!), and great cooking supplies. Our only suggestion would be a little candle or light for outside so if you wanted to eat outside after dark you could. We LOVED the island of Kauai and hope to return....when we do we would definitely stay at this Pacific Paradise again. Thank you for being so thoughtful--it made our trip that much better! Mahalo!

We were fortunate enough to be touring the islands for nearly a month, and your place was our favorite 'home away from home'. The kitchen was well stocked and we really appreciated the extras like spices, vinegars, oils, etc, and knowing that all the beach gear we could possibly need were there was awesome. We woke every morning to sea turtles swimming along the rocks directly outside our lanai, and sipped wine while watching toads come out at night. It was fun, relaxing and a lovely place to stay. I also appreciate your professionalism, care and attention to detail in making the arrangements, Jackie. Thank you again for helping to make it such an enjoyable stay, and a special time for my mom and I to share.

We stayed in this condo from Nov 25-Dec 2, 2011 and it was just delightful. (There's a slightly different print on the sofa now, but the photos are accurate, and the condo was very clean and well-maintained.) If you know the Poipu area, you know that Kuhio Shores is right on the ocean, with a small beach on each side for swimming with turtles, snorkeling, and boogie-boarding. It's also just 1.2 miles from the amazing National Tropical Botanic Gardens, and a pleasant walk to the new high-end Shops at Kukui' ula. The condo owners have provided everything you'll need: a GREAT bed, plenty of towels, beach mats (preferable to towels), boogie-boards, a few mask and snorkel sets, and a full suite of kitchen appliances and cooking items which satisfied my gourmet-chef husband. There were coffee filters for the coffee maker, but if you like to cook you may want to bring dry condiments (salt, sugar, flour, rice) in small portions from home. Do your grocery shopping in Kaloa for fresh fish and local-style veggies and snacks---ask for boiled peanuts---and be sure to share 3 or 4 tapas plates at Josselin's and a pizza at Brick Oven. This fairly-priced unit will provide you with a great place to renew and relax!
